It takes the form of a voucher that can be redeemed against the cost of upgrading equipment and services.

Am I Eligible?
Broadband Connection Vouchers are available to SMEs if:
- You are located in an eligible area in one of the 22 cities taking part in the scheme. In the North West region, LIverpool and Manchester are included.
- Not all postcodes are eligible- please contact us to check your eligibility.
- You are a Small or Medium Enterprise (SME), registered charity, social enterprise or sole trader.
- The installation of your new broadband connection will cost over £100.
- The connection is for your business premises. You can apply for a connection at home if this is your main work base. This does not apply if you work from home occasionally.
- You are willing to sign up to a minimum 6 month contract with your supplier.
- The service you select delivers a speed or performance improvement on your current connection- there are some detailed requirements on speed that you should check before applying.
- You have not received more than around £120,000 in grants in the last three years.
You would need to pay the VAT associated with the service and the ongoing running costs; the voucher will cover up to £3,000 of the equipment and installation costs incurred in upgrading your service.
